Hello! How’s your week been? If it’s been anything like ours it’s will have been hectic, trying to balance so many competing demands and all the while trying to come to terms with the changing world around us.
Well we’re here for you and in this bulletin we have some more useful hints, tips and tricks to help us all get through.
We all love a bit of good news and this situation is really bringing out the best in people – so we’ve started a local heroes campaign, keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter feeds and see how ordinary people are doing extra-ordinary things to help out in their communities.
We can do this. Together.
Tips for supporting our young people
Being a teenager is tough at the best of times, so throw in isolation, lack of routine, school, friends and exam uncertainty and you have even more challenges to overcome. Luckily, the Young Minds website has loads of helpful advice for young people and their parents on how to stay well through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Boost your wellbeing with wildlife
Going outside feels like such a treat these days, so make the most of it and enjoy the wildlife around us with some great ideas from The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust - from making a bee hotel to creating a hedgehog hole! Tweet us @KirkleesCouncil to share your favourite ways to connect with nature close to home.
