Things to do - Christmas special
Glow in the Angel
Thursday 14 November, 4-8pm Get a warm festive glow at this event around Angel town centre, Camden Passage and Upper Street. There will be illuminated stilt walkers, carol singers, musicians, free food and drink, and costumed characters from Angel’s history. Plus there will be two mini panto performances and free gifts given out by the ‘Glow Angels’.

Nag’s Head Shopping Centre
Saturday 23 November, from 1pm Bring family and friends to enjoy this Christmas lights switch-on event. There will be choirs, a DJ, festive music, face painting, mince pies and refreshments. The lights will be switched on by the Mayor of Islington at 4.30pm.

Chapel Market Christmas Cracker
Saturday 30 November, from 12noon Bag a bargain and support your local traders at this free festive event! There will be festive tunes from Beats and Eats and music by Jonny Boy Moores, plus the winner of this year's Market Trader of the Year will be revealed!

Finsbury Park Festive Lights
Saturday 30 November, 1-5pm Free family-friendly crafts and activities are planned for this event outside N4 library in Blackstock Road. Festive lights will be switched on at 4.30pm. Then head over to Fonthill Road to get your Christmas party outfit sorted!

Highbury Barn
Saturday 30 November from 6.30pm Head down to this event for free family fun with carols. Festive lights will be switched on by North London resident and Holby City actor David Ames at 6.45pm.

Archway Festive Lights
Sunday 1 December, from 12.30pm Head to Navigator Square to browse the stalls of a Christmas market. It's a great chance to pick up some stocking fillers and more unusual gifts from the traders and small businesses in the area. There will also be a return of the Archway Bake Off and a surprise celebrity switching on the Christmas lights, along with the Mayor of Islington!

Sunday 22 December, 5-7pm Celebrate the first night of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, at this free event on Islington Memorial Green.
