We love this photo of the Mayor of Islington Cllr Rakhia Ismail at this year's Go Islington festival. Despite the wet weather, spirits were certainly not dampened. Thanks to everyone who came down to Highbury Fields, and to all the sports and youth club partners who ran sessions. See some photos of the fun here!
A safe, healthy and fun summer for children and young people
There are hundreds of free holiday activities to keep children and young people active and entertained this summer. For 0-12 year olds there’s Heatwave, for young people aged 13+ there’s Summerversity and for those aged 16+ there’s Launchpad. All three programmes offer a fantastic range of activities and many also provide a free and healthy lunch too – part of the Lunch Bunch programme.
