Deadline for Primary School admissions

If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, you will need to apply for a place at Islington primary schools. There is no automatic entry to reception from nursery. Find out more below.

Tony Brown, Islington Council's Library and Heritage Stock and Reader Development Manager, has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's New Year Honours list.

Tony is being recognised for his services to public libraries and the local community after almost 40 years working in Islington's libraries.

Crackdown on Blue Badge fraud

Islington Council has prosecuted nine people for illegally using disabled Blue Badges, as part of its ongoing crackdown on the abuse of permits.

Fines, court costs and victim surcharges totalling more than £6,000 were given to nine drivers using stolen or falsified badges to park on streets around the borough.
