There are plenty of ways to get free vaccinations against Covid-19 and flu in Hounslow this winter. Doing so helps keep you, your loved ones and everyone in Hounslow safe from serious illness.
Councillor Lily Bath recently got both vaccines by meeting Hounslow's Health Outreach Team, which is out and about until Christmas administering free vaccines in the community. See where they'll be on the Council's website.
You can also book your vaccines via your GP, on the NHS booking site, or through participating local pharmacies.
The Council wants to hear how you access and use pharmacy services to help make improvements in the future through a quick online survey. The deadline to complete the survey is fast approaching, so please make sure to complete it by Sunday, 24 November.
Your views will help inform our Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) which will look at health needs in Hounslow, the level and accessibility of pharmacy services, and how these will be maintained and developed in the future.
The questionnaire should take no longer than five minutes to complete and the information that you provide is confidential. Please be honest with your answers so the Council can accurately assess areas where pharmacies are already fulfilling your needs well, and areas that need improvement.
This week the new Stay Steady and Active strength and balance programme launches at Lampton Leisure. This tailored programme aims to improve balance, co-ordination and mobility for residents aged 60 plus.
Taking part in physical activity really benefits the over 60s as it helps to increase bone health and strength, reducing the risk of injuries and fractures associated with a fall.
It also helps to preserve independent living and prevent age-related decline in strength, balance and co-ordination, as well as being a great way to socialise.
Spaces are limited so residents are required to self-refer, please use the link below to sign up.
