Healthy heart, healthy you!
This February it's National Heart Month and what better time to take action to improve the health of your heart by making small changes towards a healthier lifestyle?
It's important that we stay aware and make the right choices to keep our hearts happy and healthy.
Start by taking the NHS heart age test to find out if your heart age is older than you are and discover the simple steps you can take to live more healthily for longer.
Eating a healthy balanced diet is also a great way to look after your heart. Take a look at our choice of foods to get you on the right track!
Wellbeing Checks
A great way of checking your heart health is by having a Free NHS Health Check available to book with us now*!
The FREE 30 minute check assesses your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.
Everybody is at risk of developing these health problems. Having an NHS Health Check can help you to lower your chance of developing them.
You can also book in for a Wellbeing MOT where our body composition scales find out your visceral fat, hydration levels and more! You will have the chance to talk through your results, confidentially, with a Wellbeing Advisor and decide on any steps you might want to take to help improve your health and lifestyle.
To find out more about these and to make an appointment please contact us.

AAA Screening Programme
Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening is a way of checking if there's a bulge or swelling in the aorta, the main blood vessel that runs from your heart down through your tummy. It can be serious if it's not spotted early on.
Men aged 65 or over are most at risk but screening can help spot a swelling in the aorta early on when it can usually be treated.
If you're a man over 65 and have not been screened before, you can ask for a test by contacting your local AAA screening service directly, details can be found on the NHS website.

Time To Talk Day
Mental health problems affect one in four of us.
Time to Talk Day encourages everyone to be more open about mental health by talking, listen and changing lives.
Talking about mental health can feel awkward, but it doesn't have to. The theme this year is 'the power of small' - because a small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference. Get involved and get talking.
Let's Talk About Sleep
This short talk will look at factors affecting sleep and highlight the reasons why we are finding it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. We will show you how to work out your best sleep time, what type of sleeper you are and how many hours you need.
This talk is suitable for people with mild to moderate sleep issues. If you suffer with insomnia or health conditions that are affecting your sleep, contact your GP.
Next talk: 10.30am on Thursday 10 February at Horsham Wellbeing Centre
