Local start-ups benefit from LEAP Small Business Grants

Billingshurst Dairies is a new local businesses who recently applied for and were offered a grant from our LEAP Small Business Grant Scheme. We spoke to Chris from the dairy to find out how the grant will help grow their business:

Chris from Billy Dairies LEAP grant

“We are a new business bringing local growers, butchers and bakers products from Horsham District together in one delivery platform: the milk float!

Our LEAP grant will enable us to develop a smartphone app that will simplify the ordering process and enable customers to quickly and easily order goods from their phone or tablet.

This will be a huge boost for both us and our customers, and enable us to serve the more rural villages and those who cannot get to the shops because of the pandemic or mobility reasons.”

The latest round of funding is open to applications from businesses with less than 20 FTE employees and who have registered within the last 12 months (as at 1 September 2020).
