Sleep Better

Sleep is a vital, often neglected, component of every person's overall health and wellbeing. It is important because it enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day.

Getting adequate rest may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness duration.

The One You website has a range of resources and information about sleep available:

Sexual Health

Sexual Health

Sexual health is an important part of physical and mental health as well as your emotional and social wellbeing. It is estimated that 1 in 10 men have a problem related to having sex, such as premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction.

By looking after your health, including watching your waistline, you can reduce the risk of developing conditions that could cause problems such as erectile dysfunction. It's important to take care of your sexual health and to talk about sex and relationships with your loved ones.

Wellbeing

Hopefully you've all heard about 5 A Day where everyone is encouraged to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day to keep your body fit and healthy...

...well, The Five Ways to Wellbeing are a great way to remind yourself, every day, what you can do to look after your emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Are you off your game?

Just as your physical health can change so can our mental wellbeing. Every year, one in four of us faces a mental health challenge and in any given week, one in six experiences a common mental health problem such as anxiety or depression. These odds mean we all know someone affected, and that not feeling great is common.

Sometimes through lack of understanding we shy away from talking about our mental health challenges, but if we don’t talk about it and ask for help when we need it, they can get very serious. So, if you are struggling try and talk to someone you trust, whether that’s a family member, friend or doctor, or if you don’t want to talk to someone you know there are organisations you can contact such as MIND, SHOUT and the Samaritans.
