Free Get Active taster sessions

Beginning on Monday 15 March we’ve organised a range of free online exercise taster sessions!

If you are looking to get active but not quite sure what to do this is the perfect opportunity to try out a few different options. You can have a go at Pilates, Exercise to Music and Back to Fitness (sign up to as many as you like!). Visit the ‘What’s Going On’ page on our website to see everything that’s on offer throughout the week.

Our instructors will take time to talk you through what to expect during a typical session, give you a short 20-30 minute beginners workout and also answer any questions or concerns you may have. If you would rather just watch to get a feel for it that’s fine too!

The sessions are aimed at those who are new to exercise and want to try it out before committing to the free 10-week beginner course.

Please email info@horshamdistrictwellbeing.org.uk or call us on 01403215111 to get more information and to book a place.

smoking day

Give up for good

It's No Smoking Day on Wednesday 10 March. This year’s theme is ‘Quitting smoking doesn’t have to be stressful’

No matter how long you've smoked for, no matter how many cigarettes you smoke a day, your health will start to improve as soon as you quit. Some health benefits are immediate, some are longer-term, but what matters is that it's never too late.

You are three times more likely to be a successful quitter if you have professional support compared to trying alone. Our trained advisors can offer you this support, which includes regular appointments as well as providing you with the Nicotine Replacement Therapy products to help you quit.

More flavour, less salt!

More time is being spent cooking at home and recreating much loved dishes. During these unusual times, this is an opportunity to get creative in the kitchen with new recipes and flavours.

It may seem as though the only way to add flavour to home-cooked meals is with a big pinch of salt, but there are many other ways to ensure your food packs a flavoursome punch!

To celebrate Salt Awareness week this month, take a look at our simple tips to help you use less salt.
