Health and Wellbeing

October 2020

Autumn is here!

It may be getting colder outside and the nights are drawing in but that doesn't mean you can't still be healthy and take care of your wellbeing.

There might be some changes to our services but we are still here to support you during this uncertain time. We can help you with things such as, eating healthier foods, staying active and taking time out for yourself. Book an appointment with one of our friendly Wellbeing Advisors (online or telephone) to discuss your goals and how we can help support you.

We are also still offering our Weight off Workshop via telephone appointments so if you are ready to create healthier habits then get in touch!

App of the month

Stopping smoking is one of the best things you'll ever do for your health.

When you stop, you give your lungs the chance to repair and you'll be able to breathe easier. There are lots of other benefits too - and they start almost immediately.

It's never too late to quit, so join in this Stoptober and try the NHS Stoptober app to help you quit smoking and start breathing easier. The app allows you to:

  • track your progress
  • see how much you're saving
  • get daily support

If you can make it to 28 days smoke-free, you're 5 times more likely to quit for good!
