Important changes to bin collections header

From February 2018 we will be introducing changes to your household bin collections.

Your recycling will be collected one week, and your household waste collected the same day the following week.

If you have subscribed to a garden waste collection this will continue to be collected fortnightly.

Do I need to do anything now?

Depending on your needs, additional bin capacity can be provided for those households who meet one of the criteria below.

You may be eligible for a free* larger household rubbish bin or you may want to request a larger or additional recycling bin.

Eligibility criteria for a larger household waste bin

  • If you have medical needs
  • Households with five or more permanent residents, or
  • Households with three or more children in nappies

You may also like to apply for a larger or additional recycling bin*.

If space is limited a smaller, reusable, recycling bag is also available to supplement the recycling bin. There is no charge for this additional recycling bag.

Applications for additional and/or larger bins must be made by Thursday 30 November.
