We've now moved all general phone enquiries from magistrates’ courts in England and Wales, to our Courts and Tribunals Service Centres. This migration has been part of our wider plans to centralise work into Service Centres, helping to resolve issues quicker, more efficiently and consistently across all locations.
Since completing the rollout nationally last month, our service centres are now able to handle up to 45% more calls and answer up to 60,000 a month. Data shows that calls are answered in under six minutes on average, with less than 2% of calls referred back to courts. This gives us confidence that this approach is working for court users and our teams alike.
