Maple House in Birmingham will close as planned at the end of December. The site was used as a Nightingale Court to provide additional courtroom capacity following the pandemic.
Cases have been listed there until today (22 November 2024), after which they will be heard within the permanent court estate in and around Birmingham, which has the physical capacity currently needed to manage demand.

From Monday 2 December 2024 court professionals applying for property and financial affairs deputyships must submit applications on GOV.UK. The Property and Affairs Deputyship application process has been modernised and improved through feedback and over 80% of applications are now made online.
To apply online you’ll need to sign up for Payment by Account if you haven’t yet done so. Registering is easy and accounts are usually confirmed within three working days.
You do not need to sign up or register to use the online submission portal, all you need is a Payment by Account number to make your payment. People without legal representation can also apply on GOV.UK or by sending a paper form.
If you have any questions about the service please contact the Court of Protection team at FamilyandCoPSupport@justice.gov.uk.
