In October 2024, we introduced an adapted search for Professional Users’ Access Scheme members.
Our guidance has now been updated and includes information about the adapted searches are in the 'Conditions of Entry' guidance which has been sent to all organisations with members that participate in the scheme.
This follows our continuous review of risk assessments to ensure the safety of all court users, keep security measures proportionate and in doing so allow smooth access to our buildings by minimising queues.

We’ve published a further dataset about performance in our criminal courts in relation to the recent civil unrest.
This release gives information on the number of defendants listed for a first hearing and the outcomes at that hearing.

The probate team are holding drop in sessions throughout December. The sessions are your opportunity to meet the team, find out more about the service and share your feedback. Sessions are planned as follows:
- Highbury Magistrates' Court, London, 9 December 2024, 12pm to 2pm
- Reigate & Banstead Probation Office, Surrey, 10 December 2024, 10am to 12pm
- Bristol Magistrates’ Court and Tribunal Hearing Centre, 18 December 2024, 12pm to 2pm
- Clarence House, Newport, 19 December 2024, 10am to 12pm
