Susie Basi, a delivery manager at Clerkenwell and Shoreditch County Court recently won the Civil Court Users Association Jeremy Chaplin Memorial Award, which recognises outstanding services to court users.
Susie describes how the court helps people to access justice and reflects on what it's like to run a busy county court.

Tomorrow, Lewes Combined Court is hosting an open day, from 10am to 2:30pm. You can go along to learn about the processes behind working in court and to see how justice happens.
The court is open to all and visitors will have the chance to speak to the High Sheriff of East Sussex during Q&A sessions, observe mock trials, visit the court cells and much more.

For the first time in 20 years, Ipswich Magistrates’ Court will be opening its doors to visitors tomorrow on Saturday 14 September from 11am to 3:30pm.
You can join them to tour the court building and learn about how the justice system works. Members of the public will have the opportunity to tour a prison van, visit the court cells, observe mock trials, speak with our justice partners and lots of other activities.

Later this month on Saturday 21 September, the Royal Courts of Justice (RCJ) will again be open to members of the public from 10am to 4pm.
This year, visitors will be able to join mock trials, join Q&A sessions with staff and lawyers, visit the cells, try on judges' robes and much more besides.

On Saturday 28 September 2024, we’re updating the technology that is supporting Cloud Video Platform (CVP) and the Video Hearings Service (VHS). If you join remote hearings from a company device you need to check, and may need to change, the firewall settings.

From September 16 users will be able to request the HMRC code required to input into MyHMCTS to submit probate applications by email.
To do this, you'll need to confirm your email address and sign a disclaimer on the IHT400 form if you'd like to receive a code by email.

From 12 September, the design of grants of probate issued by HMCTS will be changing. The new design will include a new hologram and is the first change since 2020. All grants already issued still remain valid.
