  • Reminder: A modern Magistrates’ and County Court is coming to Blackpool. With £40 million investment from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, the site will bring together multiple jurisdictions under one roof. Read more about the development.
  • Reminder: Prospero House, Borough High Street, London, is due to close at the end of December. The site was used as a Nightingale court to support Southwark Crown Court when social distancing measures were in place and when all court rooms could not be used. The lease expires on 31 December 2022 and cases will be listed until 16 December 2022. The work will return to Southwark, where it can be accommodated across the existing 15 court rooms.
  • Reminder: Find details of courts and tribunals opening times over the Christmas and New Year bank holidays.

Crime

  • Reminder: Defence solicitors and barristers can join one of our regular online support sessions to get help with using Common Platform. We’ll answer your questions, offer advice and help with troubleshooting. Sessions take place on Tuesdays at 4:30pm and Thursdays at 9am - email us to book a session.

Family

  • Reminder: On Tuesday 13 December, we’re hosting a webinar on the probate service for legal professionals. This webinar will provide an overview of the performance of the probate service in the past year, information on the latest data on applications and plans to improve the service as well as an opportunity for you to ask questions.
  • Reminder: Register to join a drop-in session for the Financial Remedy service on Thursday 24 November. This will provide an overview of the service and answer any queries on submitting and managing applications.
