The Hertsmere CSP marked ASB Awareness Week which takes a stand against anti-social behaviour by promoting support services available to our residents and highlighting pathways to make reports.
Partners from a variety of organisations including Hertsmere Borough Council’s Community Safety and Community Enforcement Teams, Hertsmere Police, Clarion, Rail Enforcement and Services for Young People attended and organised community engagement events across the borough.
Offenders who have been given a Community Payback Order carried out a deep clean of two locations in Borehamwood. Individuals complete a variety of unpaid work to benefit the community as a form of reparation for their crimes. They predominantly carry out deep cleansing, weeding and litter picking projects.

The Borehamwood Friday Night Project provides young people with an opportunity to engage in positive activities, such as sport sessions, and receive support from youth workers. The group received merchandise to promote the Fearless service. Fearless is the dedicated youth service of the independent charity Crimestoppers. They provide young people with the opportunity to give information about crime 100% anonymously. Find out more on their website.
Reports of ASB can be made to the police by calling 999 in an emergency or using the non-emergency number 101, Housing Association tenants should report incidents to their landlord and reports can be made to Hertsmere Borough Council on our website.
