A new play area offering fun for toddlers to teens is coming to Borehamwood.
Work started to the play area in Byron Avenue last week (Monday 29 June), which will bring something new for all ages and abilities.
The new exciting toddler area includes a playhouse, slide, swings, spinners, springers and seesaws all in wood to complement the surrounding village green. There will also be a separate junior zone for children aged eight to 13, which will include a street football court – the first of its kind in the borough - and basketball hoop.
The new play equipment has been designed to be inclusive, accessible and to cater for a wide range of abilities. The play area is currently being constructed and should be completed by mid-August.
The improvements will create a great place for families with children of all ages to get outside and have fun without having to spend anything.
The project has been funded using money for local amenities paid by developers who have built new homes in the town.
