Don’t bin your household enquiry form

Canvass

Residents who do not respond to an important form risk losing the right to vote on polling day – but there is still time to act.

Canvassers from Hertsmere Borough Council’s Elections Team are visiting properties that have not responded to the Household Enquiry form, which were sent to all properties in the borough in July.

The canvasser will be able to assist you to complete the form. If you are out when the canvasser calls they will leave a calling card to confirm the date of the visit. They will then visit a second time.

The Household Enquiry Form is not a registration form. If you have recently registered but your details do not appear on the Household Enquiry form, you will still need to complete and return the form.

This form must be completed, even if there are no changes to make.

If you’re not currently registered your name will not appear on the form and you will need to complete the form and return it to us. We will send you information explaining how to register in the post. After you have completed the Household Enquiry form the easiest way to get yourself registered is online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

If all details on the form remain the same, it is quick and easy to confirm them by using the security codes printed on your form and choosing one of the automated options as follows:
• Online: www.elecreg.co.uk/hertsmere
• Call: 0808 284 1461
• Text: both security codes separated by a space to 07786 209 361

If you are unable to use any of the automated options above, you should complete and send the Household Enquiry Form back to us in the envelope provided, postage is free.

If you need to change any of the details shown on the form please let us know:
• Online: www.elecreg.co.uk/hertsmere
• Posting the form back
