A licensed waste carrier has been sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work for dumping 30 bags of building waste in Bushey and Radlett after providing a Finchley man with a false identity.

Edgware man Samuel Boca, 23, of Bransgrove Road, pleaded guilty to eight charges related to the dumping in Hilfield Lane South in Bushey and Bridleway 71 in Radlett during an earlier hearing and attended St Albans Magistrates for sentencing.

In addition to the unpaid work, Boca was also ordered to pay £250 for each of six duty of care offences, a victim surcharge of £150 and pay the council’s £3,514 costs.

The van was seized and destroyed by the council. To watch a video of the van being crushed, visit https://youtu.be/EycDb8wDBCI.
