Pupils are made of the write stuff for Arsenal

Pupils participate in the Double Club event at Arsenal training ground, which featured football and literacy challenges.

Schoolchildren were made of the write stuff when they took part in literacy challenges at Arsenal’s training ground.

Schools from Hertsmere participated in a Double Club tournament at the London Colney base, which was organised for Year Five boys following the success of a similar girls tournament earlier in the academic year.

Pupils from St Giles School in South Mimms and Oakmere Primary School in Potters Bar took part in a number of literacy challenges before taking part in a football tournament.

The schoolchildren were mixed together into two teams and the winning team, who named themselves Arsenal, received medals and certificates.

The tournament was organised as part of the successful partnership with Arsenal in the Community, the training ground and Arsenal Women and is part of a planning agreement.

The club delivers school and community activities in the Hertsmere area and in the past 10 years has worked with over 9,000 young people.
