Hertsmere Borough Council elected members and council officers have expressed their sadness following news of the death of former borough councillor Christine Calcutt.

She represented Potters Bar Furzefield Ward between 1999 and 2010.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Morris Bright MBE, said: “Christine was a long-serving and hard-working borough councillor who represented her constituents in Potters Bar diligently and was highly thought of by her colleagues.

“My sympathy to her husband, Robert, who was also a borough councillor, and to the rest of Christine’s loved ones.”
