£33,000 - £38,000 per
annum (depending on experience)
Hertsmere Borough Council is located
less than 15 miles from central London and our Borehamwood offices are within
easy reach of the M1, M25 and Thameslink rail service. An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a talented individual with good local authority
planning experience. Hertsmere has a diverse population of over 100,000,
located within the Green Belt and is an internationally renowned centre for
film and television production, home to Elstree Studios and BBC Elstree.
You will be involved in a range of
challenging policy work, following the adoption of our Core Strategy in 2013
and the introduction of our CIL charging schedule, the first in Hertfordshire,
in 2014. We are aiming to adopt an Area Action Plan for a key
regeneration corridor in Borehamwood within the next few months and are looking
to press on with a range of other key policy documents, including an early
partial review of our Core Strategy.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day
delivery of a number of planning policy projects within the team as well as
deputising for the Policy and Transport Manager and mentoring/supervising other
members of the team.
You should be a full member or eligible for full
membership of the RTPI and have previous planning policy experience.
