 The Live Well project focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of
people aged 50 and over with activities including; healthy cooking, weight loss support,
relaxation techniques, stress management, healthy walks and stop
smoking sessions.
The project is taking place across the borough in Borehamwood, Bushey and Potters Bar.

sessions, which take place every week at:

- Bushey: Wednesdays between 12.30pm and 2.30pm at Hartspring Lane Community Centre, 336 Park Avenue, WD23 2BJ

Age UK Healthwise
AGE UK will be running a 10 week cycle of Healthwise sessions in Hartspring Lane Community Centre in Bushey. The sessions are designed around four main themes of:
- Healthy eating

Gentle exercise
-
Digital inclusion
-
Social interaction.
Healthwise helps by introducing people to healthy foods they may not have tried before, exercising gently to create that 'feel good' feeling, digital inclusion to help people stay in touch with friends and family, as well as making new friends through all of the above!
Healthwise will be running during the Bushey Live Well sessions between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

 Fellas Fitness
Fellas Fitness provides older men with the opportunity to come together, get a bit fitter and meet new people in an informal, friendly environment.
Each week, experienced and qualified exercise instructors lead participants through a programme of classes specifically designed for the older gentleman. They provide a challenging workout that targets different elements of fitness such as cardiovascular health (heart and lung function), core stability (abdominals) and muscular endurance.
Based around a circuit training format, sessions last 60 minutes consisting of a warm up, main circuit, competitive game or sport (such as rounders or quick cricket) followed by a cool down. You will be get fitter in an environment that is fun, but paced at a level that is right for you!
The sessions are on Thursdays between 1.30pm and 2.30pm at Hartspring Lane Community Centre, 336 Park Avenue, Bushey, WD23 2BJ

 Love To Dance
Love to Dance is a countywide programme of dance classes offering a unique experience aimed at people aged 50 and over.
The classes are bespoke and have been specifically designed for the older adult in mind with exciting choreography and steps put together by experienced and qualified teachers. Classes focus on different styles such as Latin, Ballroom, Jive, Charleston and everything in between, giving participants the opportunity to sample a new genre every fortnight.
Classes are delivered in local community centres and villages halls, are low cost, fun and very sociable! There is no commitment to sign up to a programme, just pay as you go.
