 HRH impressed with 'all she saw'
 The Princess Royal has expressed how impressed she was by her tour of the Public Service Plaza and the Community Day held last Tuesday.
In a letter from her Private Secretary, to Sandy Hopkins and Mayor Cllr Paul Buckley, she congratulates the stall holders for their 'obvious commitment and dedication' and the council for its 'innovative programme'.
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visited the Plaza to unveil a plaque to mark the official opening, during Havant Borough Council’s Community Open Day event.

 Parking fines and figures for 2012/13
At the last Governance and Logistics Panel Review Cllrs asked for the parking fees and parking fines figures for 2011/12 and 2012/13 to be circulated.
Parking fees
In 2011/12 the council received £1,020,000 from parking fees.
In 2012/13 this figure dropped £8,000 to £1,012,000.
Parking fines
In 2011/12 the council received £220,00 in parking fines.
In 2012/13 this figure rose by £21,000 to £241,000
Combined totals
2011/12 fines and fees combined - £1,240,000
2012/13 fines and fees combined - £1,253,000
The parking fees collected in 2012/13 were £153,000 less than had been anticipated while the amount of parking fines collected was £56,000 more than expected.

In memory of Alderman Bill Blackett
Honorary Alderman Bill Blackett, who served on Havant Borough Council for 12 years over two stints, passed away on Monday 22 July.
A service was held in his memory on Friday morning at St John's Church, Purbrook.
Originally elected to the council in 1986, Honorary Alderman Blackett retired in 1996 but was then re-elected in 2000 and served until 2002.
During his time on the council he was Chairman of the Council’s Policy and Resources Committee, Housing Committee and Finance Sub Committee. He was conferred the title of Honorary Alderman in 1996.
