Did you know that you can now recycle empty medicine and vitamin blister packs at Boots?
Boots are working with the recycling company MYGroup to offer blister pack recycling in stores across the UK. MYGroup uses a specialised machine to separate the foil and plastic, transforming the waste into new products.
Next time you have empty blister packs why not take them to Boots? You can even sign up to get Boots Advantage points for participating in the scheme.

Did you know that 'use by' dates and 'best before' dates mean different things?
Use by dates: These are all about food safety. Eating food past this date can be risky, so it's best to avoid it.
Best before dates: These focus on food quality. After this date, the food might not be at its best, but it's still safe to eat. Trust your senses to make the call.
For those taking part in our food waste collections scheme, your leftover food can be disposed of in your food waste bins.

Fly-tipping is illegal and costly. Dumping waste can lead to prosecution and an unlimited fine. This includes garden or green waste dumped by you or on your behalf.
✅ Protect yourself: always use a licensed waste carrier or take your waste to a registered disposal site.

Since the ban in June 2025, more people than ever are using rechargeable vapes with replacement pods. But did you know that a vape pod is an electrical item that can be recycled?
All shops that sell vapes and vape pods are legally required to take back old ones for recycling, so it should be as easy to recycle them as it is to buy them.
So remember: never bin your vapes or pods! Take them to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre electrical drop off point or recycle at your local retailer.
|
DID YOU KNOW: 9 million vapes and pods are bought every week in the UK alone. That’s 9 million opportunities to recycle!

Thank you for continuing to recycle and helping to reduce waste!

As the World Cup kicks off and celebrations begin, don’t let your recycling miss the goal! When you’re enjoying the matches, remember to recycle your glass bottles and jars at your local glass recycling bank!
If the bank is full, don’t leave anything on the ground - this creates a safety hazard and is considered fly-tipping. Instead, check the other side for space or come back once it’s been cleared.
