 New Mayor of Havant sworn in for 2026-27
On Wednesday 20 May, during the Annual Meeting of the council, Councillor Paul Tansom was elected as Mayor of Havant Borough for 2026/27.
The Mayoral Chain was presented by Councillor Munazza Faiz, past Mayor of Havant for 2025/26.
The new Mayor's chosen charities for the year are Dementia Friendly Havant Borough and Havant Youth Sail Training Scheme.

 Havant's Big Green Week
The Havant Borough Big Green Week will take place from 6 - 14 June, and there are going to be lots of interesting events around the borough (as well as around the UK).
There’s still plenty of time to organise something yourselves to help spread the word about protecting our environment and involve the local community.
It could be anything with a green theme – walks, talks, litter picks, zero waste coffee mornings, working parties. Also swapping goods, stories, skills, ideas or making lifestyle changes.
