 Annual canvass set to begin
Each year the council must conduct an annual canvass to ensure the electoral register is accurate and complete.
Households in Havant will shortly receive a letter, some households may receive an email, asking residents to check their information is correct and to tell us if there is anything that needs to be changed.
Please take action as requested. You may need to respond even if all the information on the letter is correct.
You can find out more on our website or by contacting the elections team on 023 9244 6225 or emailing: elections.office@havant.gov.uk
 Big Green Week
The Havant Borough Big Green Week is coming up in June and there are going to be lots of interesting events around the borough. They will appear on the Great Big Green Week website over the next few weeks.
The theme this year is Let’s Swap Together for Good so you might like to think about changes you could make in your life to be greener. Lots of swaps are very easy, like switching products, leaving the car at home sometimes, or trying more plant-based food. You could also swap information, stories, skills, or something you do every day to something different.
 Devolution update
As you may be aware, Havant Borough Council worked closely with colleagues at our neighbouring authorities to prepare an initial proposal, which was submitted to Government on 21 March.
We have now received the interim feedback letter from Government regarding Devolution.
More information can be found on our website.
Have your say on the Local Plan
Now is your chance to view and comment on the draft 'Building a Better Future' plan for the development of the Borough of Havant.
This plan – otherwise known as the Local Plan - sets out how the council will decide, manage and shape development in our borough and includes proposed sites for allocation where development could take place.
We are also consulting on the Waterlooville Town Centre Supplementary Planning Document and St. Faith's Conservation Area.
