 Warmer homes for winter
Applications for free energy efficiency upgrades closing soon
Households across the South East can receive free energy efficiency upgrades, which can reduce your energy bills.
If your annual combined household income is £36,000 or less, and you don't rely on a gas boiler to heat your home, you could be eligible for solar panels, an air source heat pump and/or insulation.
This scheme is run by Agility Eco, and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply today!
If you’ve reached State Pension age and get certain benefits, you might be eligible for a Winter Fuel Payment. This is an annual one-off payment to help you pay for heating during the winter.
You’ll get the payment if you or your partner get one of these benefits:
- Pension Credit
- Universal Credit
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Income Support
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
You’ll get £200 if you’re aged under 80 or £300 if you’re over 80 years old.
Please remember to keep your trees and shrubs under control.
Your unpruned hedge could be reducing the footpath considerably and forcing pedestrians, prams and wheelchair users into the road.
It’s an offence to obstruct the highway and pruning work could be carried out on your behalf with you being sent the bill.
