Please do not leave glass bottles on the ground surrounding the glass skip container as this is a safety risk to other users and is considered fly-tipping - a criminal offence. It is advisable to check both sides of the skip for available capacity. If the skip is full, please visit another glass recycling site.
Find your nearest glass recycling site.

It is officially barbecue season! But did you know that an afternoon of grilling could have a substantial environmental impact? Check out these top tips for hosting a sustainable barbecue:
|
|
-
Ditch the disposable grill
Opt for reusable barbecues instead. Portable barbecues are also available if you don’t have your own garden to host in.
-
Say no to single-use tableware Why not invest in some bamboo alternatives? It is the world’s fastest growing plant, chemical free, biodegradable, and durable!
|
-
Check what you have in stock Reduce waste by checking what you have in your cupboard, fridge and freezer before hitting the shops.
-
Save your leftovers
Luckily you can freeze pretty much anything – from cooked vegetables to bread!
|
|
|
Please note: If you use a disposable barbecue, these are not recyclable. Making sure they are completely cool first, they should be placed in the residual waste bin or transported to a Recycling and household waste site for disposal.

Soft plastics are lightweight plastics that often cannot be placed in recycling bins at home, e.g., plastic film lids on yoghurt pots, soft fruit punnets and ready meals, plastic crisp packets, bread bags, and biscuit wrappers.
These soft plastics can be taken to some supermarkets to be recycled. For more information, click on the links to each supermarket below:
