Welcome to the July Business Newsletter from Havant Borough Council's Economic Development Team.
We are looking forward to welcoming businesses to the next Havant Business Partnership. The event focuses on supporting local businesses to network and meet with like-minded professionals, whilst hosting a range of business support professionals to meet your needs.
The July Partnership has been postponed due to the General Election. It will now take place on Thursday 26th September 09:30-11:00.

Youth Employment Scheme Havant
Havant Borough Council's successful Youth Employment Scheme is expanding and we are looking for new businesses who would like to employ young people from the local community.
The scheme offers:
- 6 months funding at National Living Wage covering 16-25 hours per week excluding any on costs to the role
- Support from a dedicated work coach to enable the young person to be successful on their placement and make plans at the 6 months end
- Access to further funding for equipment or training needed

Incuhive Business Support for Start Up and Small Businesses
Havant Borough Council have commissioned Incuhive to offer free support to businesses looking to grow or start-up across the Borough.

The support from Incuhive includes:
- Funding and finance
- Marketing and social media
- Business planning and/or adapting current plans
- Cashflow

Skills Bootcamps - Hampshire County Council and Solent Partners

Join Hampshire County Council and Solent Partners for Meet the Supplier. The event will introduce you to bootcamps running across the Solent area, which can support your business with recruiting new staff or upskilling current staff.
If you are working in an organisation supporting people looking to upskill or find employment, this event is suitable to support you making referrals to bootcamps.

Hampshire County Council's Multiply for Business
Multiply is a fully funded government scheme that offers maths courses to adults aged 19 and over. It is available to individuals who do not have a maths level 2 qualification or equivalent (GCSE grade C equivalent). The course aims to boost numeracy skills in work and daily life.
We support employers to access this programme which offers free training to support employees to become more confident and effective in their roles by improving their numeracy skills.
