On Thursday 2 May, elections will take place across the borough for Councillors (3 seats in each of the borough's 12 wards), as well as for the Police and Crime Commissioner for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Area.
This means you will be able to cast up to 3 votes on the green ballot paper to vote for local councillors and one vote on the yellow ballot paper to vote for a Police & Commissioner.
Typically, only a third of wards are up for election each year, but as a result of an Electoral Review by the Local Government Boundary Commission, boundary changes are being implemented which affect all wards across the borough. The review can be seen here and the outcomes are discussed here.
The list of nominated candidates for both the borough and Police and Crime Commissioner elections can be seen here.
Don't miss the chance to register for postal voting
If you would like to apply for postal voting, and removing the need to visit a polling station on the 2 May, you will need to have formally applied before 5pm on Wednesday 17 April. To find out how to apply, click here
