The borough of Havant is preparing for its first virtual Mayor Making ceremony, with the youngest ever Mayor being elected, and everyone is invited!
This year's annual Full Council meeting and Mayor Making ceremony will take place TODAY at 5pm and can be watched via Skype.
Councillor Prad Bains, aged just 24, will become the new Mayor of Havant once he is elected during the virtual meeting.

From Friday 24 July, you will need to wear a face covering when in shops and supermarkets in addition to public transport.
If you don’t take a mask shopping with you, you may be refused entry.

You may have already heard about the governments new scheme 'Eat Out to Help Out'.
If you visit any participating restaurant, cafe, pub or bar you will get 50% off your food and non-alcoholic drinks up to a total value of £10 per person if you eat or drink in.
You can visit as many times as you like every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August.
You don’t need a voucher to use this scheme and you can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts. There is no minimum spend.
You cannot claim discount on alcoholic drinks or service charges.
The discount will be automatically available to you at participating establishments. They will claim the money back from the government for the discount they’ve given you
