Hastings Borough Council shows its commitment to ending violence against women by continuing its White Ribbon accreditation
Hastings Borough Council has once again become White Ribbon accredited.

UK Community Renewal Fund via East Sussex County Council
To help local areas prepare for the introduction of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the UK Government is providing funding in 2021/22 through the £220m UK Community Renewal Fund.
East Sussex County Council is now inviting project bids. There is no minimum threshold to the value of bids, but applicants are strongly encouraged to maximise impact and deliverability through larger projects submitted in East Sussex (£250,000 and above) where possible. As 90% of the available funding is revenue funding and only available in 2021/22, projects should be predominantly, or exclusively, revenue based.
The deadline for bids is midday Friday 30 Apr 2021.
Tidy Up St Leonards tidies up Decimus Burton Way
The project, funded by Safer Streets, involved litter clearance, a hard cut back of trees and bushes overhanging, vegetation overgrowth, weeds, disused cables left hanging from trees – all cleared and either reduced down on site for composting or taken away.
Immediate residents were absolutely delighted with the results.
The ultimate goal is to reduce antisocial and drug related activity in the area, and clearing it allows fewer places for people to conceal themselves whilst taking part in these activities.
Find out more about Tidy Up St Leonards on their website.
