Funds for Digital Social Care Records
We are reaching out following from a December pre-registration email, regarding funds we have available for providers to implement Digital Social Care Records by 5 April 2023.
Digital social care records are proven to release staff from administrative duties so they can spend more time on patient care.
The fund could provide up to 50% of your costs. This includes the costs of implementation, software and hardware that is part of the core product, as well as costs for the first year.
We attach answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) with more detail, together with a form that asks for initial information and expresses your interest.
The funding can only be used on one of the assured suppliers who can be found here: Assured Supplier List - Digital Social Care More advice that can be found via this link.
The requirements for receiving funding are as follows
- Be a CQC registered adult care provider
- Confirm the funds will be spent on DSCR
- Have a current Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) and secure email (such as nhsmail)
- Undertake a short pre and post implementation evaluation of the benefits of using digital records
Please Note: if you are not DSPT compliant you can get free support from the Gloucestershire Care Providers Association (GCPA) to achieve compliance. Please see more details of the support available for DSPT and secure email in the FAQ.
As time is tight, we are seeking completed Expression of Interest (EOI) form by 23 January 2023 using the email sally.williams61@nhs.net.
If you are interested in Sensor Based Falls Intervention or other technology innovation pilots, please email us, or use the EOI form to let us know. More details are on the attached FAQ.

Proud to Care – New Jobs Board: Gloucester Providers
Proud to Care Gloucestershire support independent care providers and the care community, working for Gloucestershire County Council and NHS Gloucestershire. Our aim is to promote careers in care, proactively connect people wishing to work in care and explore recruitment, retention, training and development opportunities to support the care sector.
The Proud to Care team are excited to announce that we are launching a brand-new fully-funded jobs board in partnership with Glos Jobs. This support is available to independent care providers in Gloucestershire. This jobs board has been piloted as part of our recruitment campaign in the Forest of Dean, and we are now in the process of rolling it out county wide. This new jobs board will be replacing the current jobs board, which will no longer function by March 2023. This new jobs board has several advantages:
-
Simplicity: the Proud to Care team will create a profile for you and upload your jobs, removing the admin time required under the previous system. Jobs will expire after 1 month and can be renewed by emailing Glos Jobs who will send out a reminder before expiry.
-
Visibility: Glos Jobs are one of the top sites for jobseekers across the county and highly visible, with your jobs reaching a wider audience. We will have our own ‘iframes’ on our website to make it quick and easy for jobseekers to access your jobs by locality.
-
Flexibility: we are working closely with Glos Jobs to give you the best experience and welcome your feedback.
-
Accessibility: Proud to Care, Employment and Skills Hub and DWP can use your job adverts to securely and quickly connect interested candidates to your recruitment team. Candidates can apply for roles by filling out one simple enquiry form.
Click this link to view the new jobs board.
In order to ensure we advertise your roles, please can you complete the attached Organisation Profile and send it to ptc@gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Once we have uploaded your profile onto GlosJobs we will confirm and ask you to complete a template so we can upload your vacancies.
If you would like to discuss what we can offer to support you in more detail, we would be delighted to arrange a 1:1. Email the team at ptc@gloucestershire.gov.uk to get in touch.

A Message from The Wellbeing Line Team
Dear Residential and Domiciliary Care Managers and Teams,
I wanted to give you some information about The Wellbeing Line and the support that it is currently available for all staff across Gloucestershire that work in health and social care.
What is The Wellbeing Line:
At the end of 2020, NHS England and NHS Improvement requested that all Integrated Care Systems begin to develop a mental health and wellbeing hub to support health and social care staff working within their geographical region. In Gloucestershire, our hub is called The Wellbeing Line. We had our formal launch in January 2022.
The purpose of The Wellbeing Line:
We know that there is an abundance of support available locally, nationally and online for staff working in the health and social care sector. However, we have had feedback that people:
- often felt overwhelmed by the offers of support
- didn't have time to find out what's useful
- didn't know what support was right for them.
The purpose of The Wellbeing Line is to “unlock” free and confidential discussions about mental health and wellbeing, to normalise peoples experiences and help them to access the support that is right for them.
We are independent from all the organisations that we support. There is no referral needed - all people need to do is to call our number or email us and they will speak directly with a person experienced in mental health.
We help people navigate and connect with the support and resources available. We also provide a follow up/check in phone call to make sure our advice was useful or there are other options needed.
We are not:
- An emergency or crisis service
- A replacement for services or support already provided by your organisation
- An individual psychological therapy or counselling service.
What support does The Wellbeing Line Provide for staff:
- Individual - We can support individual staff members to access the most appropriate and timely support to help with their mental health and wellbeing. All you have to do is call (0300 421 7500) or email us (hello@thewellbeingline.co.uk).
- Consultation - We offer advice and consultation to Team Managers/Leads. This might be around supporting an individual staff member with their mental health and feeling able to have those types of conversations in an open way. Please call (0300 421 7500) or email us (hello@thewellbeingline.co.uk).
- Teams - We are also able to provide sessions to whole teams around mental health and wellbeing. These sessions might be more structured and cover specific topics (e.g. “Looking After Your Health and Wellbeing”, managing stress, developing self-compassion etc.). Or they might be a more reflective space to allow staff to share how they are, to reflect on the changes and challenges that have occurred over the last two years and to think about how we reconnect and support one another.
It would be lovely to arrange a meeting with you so that we can introduce our team properly, and you would have an opportunity to ask any questions about our service and how we could support your staff. Please email hello@thewellbeingline.co.uk if you would like to arrange this. If you want further information about our service, please click this link.
Developing new ways of working across the voluntary, community, health and social care sectors
In 2022, we developed a cross sector agreement – a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) - about the principles that we’ll follow in working together in Gloucestershire. Using this as a basis, these sessions are an opportunity to:
- Consider how we build on existing local cross-sector relationships and develop new ones.
- Explore how we make stronger links between people’s experience, local delivery and overarching strategies.
- Contribute to an online toolkit that explains the voluntary and community sector, the public sector and how we work together.
All sessions will be held in person; venues to be confirmed.
