The Team Around the Locality Cluster (TALC) forum is reviewing the mechanism under which it processes data for the Children/ Young People (CYP) and families who are referred. The proposed direction is to share under Public Task, moving away from the current model where explicit consent is required to be gained prior to referring a CYP for TALC support. Following the publication of the new guidance Working Together to Improve School Attendance we are launching our Request to Initiate Legal Proceedings 2022-23 template for non-school attendance. If you have a non-attendance case that you are considering submitting, we ask that you contact your named Inclusion Officer to discuss the case before completing the template. Once the Request to Initiate Legal Proceedings has been submitted the work that is being done to support the family and improve attendance must continue. Legal process can take time and there is no guarantee that a case will proceed. More information and a link to the template is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.
Following reviews of some school websites, we have noted that not all policies are up to date. All schools and academies should ensure that policies on their websites are up to date and not just held within school. Please see the Bulletin Board using the above link for the lists of policies that must be updated annually
