**REMINDER**
Access to GSCP Training for Traded Services Schools.
Schools/ colleges that subscribed to Traded Services for the academic year 2021/ 2022 subscriptions will cease on 31st August 2022.
Settings that do not renew their Traded Service subscription will not be able to access any training/ services offered by the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership and Gloucestershire Safeguarding Education Partnership.
Therefore, any training or services engaged with will come at a charge to your organisation, something that is made clear to all who sign up to attend.

Please be aware: The GSCP require that all organisations in Gloucestershire take their safeguarding responsibilities seriously under Section 11 of the Children Act 2004 and their responsibilities under Keeping Children Safe in Education 2021/ 2022 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 as ‘Relevant Agencies’; this relates to their compliance with the required training and competencies for staff and demonstrating their understanding of ‘local arrangements’ under the GSCP’s ‘WT 2018 Published Arrangements’.
Please note this does not apply to schools that buy in at the beginning of the financial year (April-March).

Tackling Child Exploitation (TCE) Support Programme
The Tackling Child Exploitation (TCE) Support Programme is a consortium funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and led by Research in Practice with The Children’s Society and the University of Bedfordshire. Since 2019, TCE has worked with local areas across England to improve strategic responses to child exploitation and extra-familial harm.
We are delighted to announce that TCE will be continuing for a further 12 months, until March 2023, to build on Programme learning to date, to create and share ‘Practice Principles’ for child exploitation and extra-familial harm.

Keeping your child safe in sport
The NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) has released an updated version of its free e-learning course on keeping children safe in sport. The course is designed to help parents understand their own safeguarding role and what to do when concerned. Training covers recognising signs, listening to children and speaking out.
