All Schools
New online guidance is available for school staff and parents/carers to support children and young people experiencing barriers attending school. This guidance has been developed by the Educational Psychology Service working with multi-agency partners. Additional information is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.
Gloucestershire County Council is looking to improve the access to information regarding local services that support young people. It is in an early phase of building a directory that will provide an enhanced solution for education professionals and practitioners who work with children and young people. The directory should ensure access to up-to-date, relevant evidence-based services and interventions for young people in a timely and effective way. This year's Big Walk and Wheel will run from 21 March - 1 April 2022 and is free for all primary and secondary schools in the UK, including SEN schools. Schools can choose to enter as a whole school or an individual class. Further information is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.

Primary
Your pupil number forecast is now available to download; it is a likely indication of your pupil numbers over future years to enable you to plan provision. This pupil number forecast will be used in assessing basic need, through the school capacity return, to ensure sufficiency of school places throughout the county. It will also be used in any Section 106 agreement negotiations affecting your school. The forecast is available via Perspective Lite. The Bulletin Board at the above link has further details.
The GLOW Maths Hub welcomes new applications to the ‘Mastering Number’ programme (from April 2022). The hub has capacity for 28 schools; 10 places remain available (on a first come, first served basis). Use this link to register your interest in participating in the Summer 2022 programme by Friday 11 March 2022. As numbers are limited, schools that unsuccessful in their application this time can be added to the participant list for 2022/23.
Following his well-received webinar that explored the development of a well sequenced curriculum intent, David Shears will be leading a follow up session that will focus upon implementation and how the curriculum is taught at subject and classroom level.
