Welcome to the 20th edition of the Provider Forum information bulletin. We hope that you, your team, family and friends are continuing to keep safe and well during this pandemic.
In lieu of the Provider Forum, we will send out these bulletins regularly summarising updates from Gloucestershire County Council (GCC), Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), as well as local and national initiatives.

All Health and Social Care workers can now book their booster jab online 5 months (152 days) since your 2nd dose.

If you've had a positive COVID-19 test:
If you're eligible for a booster dose and you've had a positive COVID-19 test, you need to wait 4 weeks (28 days) before getting a booster dose.
This starts from the date you had symptoms, or the date of the positive test if you did not have any symptoms. Please cancel and rebook your appointment for a later date if needed. For more information, please click here.

Updated guidance intended for staff and managers in health and social care settings has been reviewed. The guidance includes information on:
- guidance relating to health and social care staff if they develop coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, receive a positive test result or are identified as a contact of a COVID-19 case
- guidance on isolation requirements for patients and residents in health and social care settings after contact with COVID-19 cases
- guidance on repeat testing for COVID-19 for staff, patients and residents in health and social care settings

It is our intention to distribute all of our allocation from the DHSC’s Workforce Recruitment and Retention Fund to providers to enable them to make a thank you payment to eligible employees.
In order to ascertain each provider’s grant allocation, we will be asking all providers to complete a short online survey to confirm their employee headcount in Gloucestershire.
A provider must complete the survey by the required deadline in order to qualify for this grant funding.
Please look out for the e-mail attaching the link to the survey in the next few days.

We are pleased to share with you a pilot programme which will be running in January/February 2022, this builds upon the Fundamentals of Care Programme (which some of you may have attended prior to covid-19 pandemic) and is specifically aimed at those who support individuals with a learning disability.

The Dementia Education Team are holding a FREE event via MS Teams on 14th December 2021 at 9.15am – 12.30am.
The event will discuss dementia, changes in behaviour, how dementia progresses, environment support, end of life considerations and much more.
