Following a review of the guidance, last week the UKHSA announced that children who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are not at high risk from COVID-19 need to wait at least 12 weeks before they can have a COVID-19 vaccine. This increase from four weeks to twelve weeks is based on the emerging evidence from the UK and other countries. Please see the Bulletin Board at the above link for further information.
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Gloucestershire County Council is temporarily allowing Headteachers and managers the discretion to approve up to ten days paid leave in a 6 month period when there is a breakdown in care. The leave can be used to put in place care arrangements and can be used, for example, when a child is required to self-isolate and remain home from school. Further information is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.
