From September 2021, new teachers will be supported throughout a 2-year statutory induction programme of professional development and mentoring.
The new Teaching School Hubs will be working as delivery partners with national providers to ensure all Early Career Teachers, and their mentors and schools, access and benefit from the Early Career Framework programme. The local Teaching School Hubs, Balcarras and Pate’s Grammar, will be meeting with the new national providers and will soon be sharing information with all schools about the providers and what their offer comprises. Schools are encouraged to engage with their local Teaching School Hub and be part of an aligned ECF offer through their Hub. The LA, Adfecto, the university and other local organisations are working closely together with the Hubs and the Teaching School Council to ensure the successful roll-out of the new arrangements.
Heads are asked to wait to hear more from the Hubs before making an individual relationship with a provider. The ideal is that there is a coherent offer that schools can sign up to via the Hubs. Further information can be found at the above link.
