Covid-19 Information for Schools

The Education Outcomes and Intervention team has gathered together video clips, resources and links on a variety of approaches Gloucestershire schools are using to support children and young people during the Covid pandemic and beyond. This includes ‘How to…’ guides and tips for making the best use of digital resources. Content can be accessed by logging onto https://gccplustraining.org and then self-enrolling onto Education during Covid: making it work for everyone in Gloucestershire.
All Schools
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Department for Education (DfE) has decided that the SFVS return should be delayed this year. This is to take account of the current pressures schools and local authorities are facing. Further information is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.
Caterlink will be providing schools with a refund at the end of the financial year, where service has been reduced.Work is currently underway to calculate all costs per school for the current financial year ending 31 March 2021 and this will then be compared to previous years costs. Schools will receive a credit via GCC plus.Cathy King will be writing to all schools in the Caterlink contract once the analysis has been completed and to confirm credits on GCC plus.
The 2021 education conference was launched on Monday 8 February. This year’s conference comprises a series of pre-recorded sessions from a range of local and national key note speakers (programme (PDF, 72 KB) ) hosted on GCC’s new virtual training platform – GCCPlusTraining.org. The deadline for nominations has now closed (5:00pm on Friday 12 February 2021). The document, available on the Bulletin Board at the above link, sets out where individuals have been elected unopposed, and where an election is now required.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) offers a CAMHS Practitioner Advice Line where they can support all professionals working with children. Practitioners can call the CAMHS Practitioner Advice Line on 01452 894272 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. The 2021 National Census takes place on 21 March 2021. A message has been posted via Perspective Lite on behalf of Gloucestershire Census Liaison Manager, Kirsty Manning, outlining materials and resources available to schools who may wish to incorporate the census into their learning programmes, or just share with their families to encourage them to complete the census.
