Publishing information on remote education provision
The previous expectation for schools to publish information about their remote education provision on their website, has now become a legal duty.
The Education (Coronavirus, Remote Education Information) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 come into force on 12 February 2021 and update the existing legislative requirements for schools to publish details about their in-school curriculum. There is now also a requirement for schools to publish details of their remote education provision. The legal duty does not require schools to provide any more information than they were previously expected to under guidance. An optional template is available to support schools with this requirement.
Safeguarding
A reminder to you that the Section 175/157 Safeguarding Audit for Schools and Early Years settings must be completed and submitted by Friday 12 February 2021.

Please see the Bulletin Board at the above link for a risk assessment template for lateral flow testing in primary schools, which can be used as an appendix to the school full risk assessment. The template is editable and can be adapted to individual circumstances.

All Schools
Gloucestershire County Council has identified the need to establish a new 3FE primary school in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. A competition to seek approved sponsors for the new school started on Monday 1 February 2021 and will run until Friday 26 March 2021. The Bulletin Board at the above link has further information.
GCC’s Occupational Health team has produced a flyer about how staff can look after their mental wellbeing while working or teaching from home. The flyer is available on the Bulletin Board at the above link.
The full programme for Gloucestershire’s education conference is available here. This year’s conference comprises a series of pre-recorded sessions from a range of local and national keynote speakers. Leaders and governors can access the sessions from 8 February 2021.
There is a small amount of grant funding left in the Music Hub which has to be spent before 31 March 2021. Schools may apply for up to £1000 of funding. The funding is not permitted to be spent on music curriculum costs, but is aimed at out of school provision such as breakfast, lunch and afterschool club activities.
