Staverton Bridge - Highways England update
The Staverton Bridge Deck project started construction works on 13 July 2020 under a full road closure. Initial construction activities have included traffic management set up, site compound set up, removal of the existing bridge deck surfacing including kerbs, surveys and inspections. Hydro demolition (high pressure water jetting to remove existing concrete) has started to remove the top part of the concrete bridge deck. This is the first phase of thirteen.
The thirteen phases of concrete repair are expected to be completed early in the new year and will be followed by bridge parapet repair works.
