Over the next few months we will regularly attend the locations listed below. If you are local to the area, please feel free to pop down and chat to us about your unpaid caring role.
Below are the confirmed days and times for October 2024:

Adferiad – Unpaid Carer Group
The carers group is available to any unpaid carer providing support to someone with a mental health illness.
The next Meeting will be held on 16 October 2024 between 11am to 1pm, at Bridge Between Community Centre, Heol Y Llongau, Barry CF63 4AT
Light refreshments are provided, and all are welcome.

Greenlinks Rural Community
Greenlinks Community Transport is all about serving local people living in rural Vale.
Whether it’s just popping to the shops, meeting friends, family or just simply being a tourist visiting the many beautiful locations scattered around the Vale.
Greenlinks has plenty to offer. Available to young, old, able, disabled, to clubs, societies, associations, even parties!
Whether you wish to go walking with friends, cycle the lanes, surf the waves, or climb the cliffs, our Greenlinks vehicles will be able to get you there and back safely. The Greenlinks vehicles have the space and facilities to accommodate most requirements. All of our vehicles are run by friendly, experienced drivers who are always willing to give a helping hand.

- Seating for up to 12 people
- Room for 2 wheelchairs at any one time

- An on-demand service
- Qualified drivers
- Booking is on a first come, first served basis
- Destination-unrestricted

How it works:
Membership is £6.00 with a maximum fee of only £6.00 (return) for every journey taken thereafter.

Are you an unpaid carer with sight loss?
Or a carer looking after an individual with sight loss or an individual with sight loss living with dementia?
Sightlife, the new public name of Cardiff Institute for the Blind, and Carers Trust Wales, are delighted to invite you to a special in-person consultation designed specifically for: unpaid carers with sight loss; carers of individuals with sight loss; those looking after someone with sight loss and dementia. Your role as a carer is invaluable, and we want to understand more about the unique challenges you face.
This consultation aims to understand your needs, and provide you with information, resources, and community connections that will help you to feel supported and continue with your caring responsibilities.

Short Breaks for Unpaid Carers in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan
Do you receive this bulletin as a third sector service provider or as an unpaid carer with links to a third sector organisation? Do you think the organisation may be able to create new and innovative opportunities for unpaid carers? You may be interested in learning more about a small grant available via C3SC.
The grant is aimed at increasing the choices and availability for unpaid carers to take a break.
Funded by Welsh Government, the Short Breaks Scheme for unpaid carers aims to enable 30,000 carers across Wales to take a break from caring by 2025.
C3SC are delivering the grant on behalf of the Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board, and are looking for bids to enable personalised, flexible and creative breaks for unpaid carers from our area.

Seibiannau Byr i Ofalwyr Di-dâl yng Nghaerdydd a Bro Morgannwg
Ydych chi’n derbyn y bwletin hwn fel darparwr gwasanaeth trydydd sector neu fel gofalwr di-dâl gyda chysylltiadau â sefydliad trydydd sector?
