Vale Unpaid Carers Hub |
Over the next few months we will regularly attend the locations listed below. If you are local to the area, please feel free to pop down and chat to us about your unpaid caring role.
Below are the confirmed days and times for September 2024:
- Monday 2nd - DWP Penarth, CF64 3DA - 1pm - 3pm
- Wednesday 4th - Hafod, Golau Caredig, Barry, CF62 7AZ - 2pm – 4pm
- Thursday 19th - Llantwit Major Library, CF61 1XZ - 10am – 12pm
- Thursday 26th - Llandough Hospital, CF64 2XX - 9:30am – 12pm

Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Assembly October 2nd 2024
Thanks to the support of the Cardiff Third Sector Council, Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board and Llais we will be hosting the second annual Cardiff and Vale Unpaid Carers Assembly at Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground on October 2nd 2024.
This year we plan to change the format of the Assembly to allow the VOICES of unpaid carers to come through more and we plan to hold workshops with various organisations to allow that to happen.
As with last years assembly we have dedicated much of the day and most of the available spaces to Unpaid Carers from across the region, so if you would like to attend, please complete the below registration of interest form and we'll see you there.

CARERS CONNECT GROUP -For carers of people living with dementia
This is a 10-week group running at:
Castleland Community Centre, Belvedere Crescent, Barry, CF63 4JZ
Every Tuesday from:
17th September 2024 – 19th November 2024, 2:30pm – 4pm
A chance to discuss shared experiences and share tips and coping strategies. There will also be some sessions where guest speakers will be discussing subjects such as nutrition, mindfulness, communication changes, loss and grief and many more topics.
We will be running an activity group alongside in a separate room which the person you care for is more than welcome to attend at the same time.

Cynulliad Gofalwyr Di-dâl Caerdydd a’r Fro 2 Hydref 2024
Diolch i gefnogaeth Cyngor Trydydd Sector Caerdydd, Bwrdd Partneriaeth Rhanbarthol Caerdydd a’r Fro a Llais byddwn yn cynnal ail Gynulliad Gofalwyr Di-dâl Caerdydd a’r Fro ar Faes Criced Gerddi Sophia ar 2 Hydref 2024.
Eleni rydym yn bwriadu newid fformat y Cynulliad i ganiatáu i LLEISIAU gofalwyr di-dâl ddod drwodd yn fwy ac rydym yn bwriadu cynnal gweithdai gyda gwahanol sefydliadau i ganiatáu i hynny ddigwydd.
Yn yr un modd â gwasanaeth y llynedd, rydym wedi neilltuo llawer o'r diwrnod a'r rhan fwyaf o'r lleoedd sydd ar gael i Ofalwyr Di-dâl o bob rhan o'r rhanbarth, felly os hoffech fynychu, llenwch y ffurflen cofrestru llog isod ac fe welwn ni chi yno.
