Tackling Loneliness Public Lived Experience Advisory Group
Have you ever felt lonely or isolated? The Tackling Loneliness Collaborative would like to invite to you to their first Lived Experience Advisory Group meeting. It will be an informal online meeting taking place on Tuesday 26 July, 10.00 - 11.30 am.

Holiday Activities and Food Programme
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF), aims to support children and young people aged between 5 – 16 years focussing on physical and mental wellbeing by providing a variety of activities during school holidays.
Local activity providers run face to face sessions that are free to children and young people aged 5 – 16 years receiving benefits related free school meals.
Included in each session is a meal, this may be breakfast or lunch depending on the programme offered.

Carlton Baptist Church Kitchen
Carlton Baptist Church have launched their new weekly kitchen, serving meals to the local community. The purpose of the kitchen is to provide hot meals to the elderly and those on low income. It is also a great way to socialise and make new friends.

Armed Forces Breakfast Club
Every 4th Saturday starting 30 July

Are you a veteran or serving member of Armed Forces? Come along for a cob and a coffee and a chat with Armed Forces colleagues.

Keep kids active over Summer
Gedling leisure centres 28 July - 26 August
There are loads of activities at Gedling leisure centres to help keep children active during the summer holidays. Book in for swimming, snorkelling, roller discos, half price badminton, table tennis and more!

Falls Prevention and Management Classes
New Falls Prevention classes for people over 55 who are unsteady, have had a fall or think they might fall and want to improve their strength and balance. The classes are a great way to help you keep independent and active for longer, as well as a great way to meet new people and socialise.
The sessions are due to start in September and will take place at the following venues:
- Tuesdays 10-11.30am St James Church Hall, Marshall Hill Drive, Mapperley
- Wednesdays 10.45am-12.15pm Main Street Methodist Church, Carlton Hill
- Fridays 10.30am-12noon Arnold Methodist Church, Arnold

 Nottinghamshire County Council Health and Wellbeing Hubs
Health and Wellbeing Hubs are visiting neighbourhoods offering a range of free services to support residents.
In partnership with the NHS, the new hubs will provide information on:
- Covid-19 vaccines, including helping you book appointments
- How to keep healthy
- How to make your money go further
- How to find and use your local health services
- How to improve your wellbeing by spending time with others

Daybrook Baptist Church - Kettles On!
The Kettle's On sessions take place every Wednesday 10.30am - 12.30pm at the Daybrook Baptist Church. The sessions provide a safe space for people to meet friends, take part in activities and have free refreshments including coffee and brunch. No need to book, just turn up. Fitness and Health Hub
Netherfield Retail Park 30 and 31 July 10am – 4pm
Gedling Leisure staff will be joining the Your Health Your Way team to offer advice on fitness and health.
Come along for a free fitness assessment on a Boditrax machine and get advice on weight management and stopping smoking. We will have some free 3 day passes for the Gedling Leisure Centres to give away too.

Nottinghamshire County Council have range of online resources to support with Speech, Language and Communications.
These are for parents, carers and all practitioners working with children in their early years.

Memory Cafe - Netherfield
Come and share a cuppa and cake and meet other carers and people living with dementia at our next monthly Memory Café. The Memory Cafe takes place at the St George's Centre on the following dates:

- 1st September
- 29th September
- 27th October
- 24 November

Braywood Gardens Care Home, Carlton are now offering a memory cafe every 1st Monday of the month 11am-12pm.
The sessions offer a safe, friendly space for anyone living with dementia and their carers.
