Flintshire’s summer play schemes are now in full swing!
The play schemes (both English and Welsh medium) started across the county from Monday 19 July and, so far this summer, 825 play sessions have been delivered by Flintshire’s Play Development team which equates to 1,650 hours of play for 2,500 very happy 5 to 12 year olds.

Join the Ranger team for a fun filled exploration of Bettisfield’s grassland and scrub. Hunt for all things mini, learn about insects, invertebrates, where they live, what they need and how they are adapted.

Over 160 children and young people aged 5-12 years have benefited from the School Holiday Enrichment programme (SHEP) this summer!
Six schools kept their doors open for the first three weeks of the school holidays, thanks to committed staff who have coordinated a comprehensive programme of activities for children attending.
Ysgol Treffynnon, Holywell and Queensferry Primary School, Deeside have successfully delivered the programme in previous years and Ysgol Maesglas Greenfield, Ysgol Bryn Garth, Penyffordd, Ysgol Bryn Gwalia, Mold and Connahs Quay High school delivered this summer for the first time.
