COVID-19 Update 22 December 2020

Public urged to keep eyes and ears open during Christmas period

safeguarding

Flintshire County Council is urging everyone to keep their eyes and ears open for children and vulnerable adults who may be at risk over the festive season.

Flintshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Social Services, Councillor Christine Jones has called for the public to join the council’s efforts:

“It is important that we all support and look after each other. If you’re at all worried about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult, it’s much better to say something than do nothing.  I would urge anyone who may have any concerns for a child or vulnerable adult to contact the County Council immediately, so that we can take appropriate steps to help and support those involved.”

Neil Ayling, Chief Officer for Social Services explains:

“Over the holiday period we will continue to protect and support vulnerable children and adults but as we enter Alert Level 4 restrictions we are also asking everyone in Flintshire to help us.  We are asking the public to keep their eyes and ears open to keep people safe.”
