Below are a selection of courses on offer this summer, however there are lots more on the ESCB website. All the courses highlighted below are free to attend and are aimed at those
working with children, young people and families in Essex. These courses are just what is available this summer, more courses will be available for the Autumn and will be advertised nearer the time so do keep an eye on the website.
Child in Need
These workshops are an introduction to working with child in
need (section 17) and are aimed at those working directly with children, young
people and their families, the workshops are free to attend, the next session
is on 22 June 2016, 9.30am-12.30pm

approach to child protection conferences and core groups
The aim of this course is to increase understanding and confidence in
participating in child protection conferences using the strengths based
approach and how this approach can be translated into core groups and to ensure
you are an active member of the core group. We have 2 courses available 27 June in Chelmsford and 7 July in Colchester, courses run
9.30-4pm. Click here to book.
CSE Champions training
This course is aimed
at those people who have been identified by their organisation as the key
contact for CSE. Attendees will have a key role within their organisation to
raise awareness and disseminate information in relation to CSE. It is expected
that all who attend will take responsibility for sharing the learning with
their colleagues through briefing sessions and team meetings.
The next course is 21 June 2016, 9.30am-12.30pm in Chelmsford,
there are further dates in September and December on the ESCB website.
Group for Child Sexual Exploitation Gold Membership
ESCB now also has gold membership of the National Working
Group (NWG) for Child Sexual Exploitation which enables us to offer free
membership to anyone working with children and young people in Essex, if you
would be interested in becoming a member, giving you access to a range of
